Responsibilities: The Department of Occupational Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, MN is seeking a talented Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works independently, and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, and provides care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting for the working population in the community and surrounding communities.
Practice Description: NP/PA will service the employers of our community and the surrounding communities while utilizing a well-trained ancillary staff. The department offers a full array of health care appropriate to an Occupational Medicine practice. Services include but are not limited to: DOT examinations, post offer medical evaluations, fit for duty evaluations, OSHA mandated medical surveillance, occupational injury/disease evaluation and treatment, return to work, and minor procedural services. Position may practice on multiple sites within southeastern MN region.

Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as an ANP or FNP.
Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications: Professional excellence and good interpersonal and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of the professional medical practice and ability to evaluate patient care. Must have knowledge of organization structure, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to establish safe work environment.
License or Certification: Must possess current registration with the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. Special consultant specific training will be provided. BCLS certification required. ACLS certification strongly encouraged as appropriate.
