Job Description
1. Set up, tack and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
2. Use special or general purpose fixtures or improvise same as required.
3. Cut and fit, heat and bend, perform weld repairs, salvage, rebuild parts as directed. Parts vary in size, crane provided. Clean welds as required.
Qualifications
Required to work with other personnel during assembly of large components. Requires the use of fairly complicated drawings, advanced shop mathematics, handbook formulas, etc. Equivalent to four years of high school plus short term trades training.
Basic Qualification
Current Oshkosh Defense Hourly Production employee or laid off Oshkosh Defense Hourly Production employee with recall rights.
DEADLINE: Job bids must be submitted electronically before 11:59 p.m. on 1/21/16 .
This opening is planned to be at the Harrison St plant (former Leach property). The person(s) awarded the position(s); however, may under Article 22 of the Labor Agreement, be moved to other plants based on production demands.
