The Intrusion Detection Specialist will be a key member of the PepsiCo Information Security Group (ISG) responsible for the monitoring, analyzing security logs from multiple sources and the prevention of data loss. In this role leverages data from IDS/IPS, DNS, proxies, antivirus, firewalls, system logs and key PepsiCo systems that include web sites, applications, databases, data centers and servers, internal and external networks, desktops and other endpoint technologies.

Constantly looking for suspicious activity and searching for root cause.

Provide guidance and escalation on security issues for remedy.

Awareness of current and developing security threats and technologies to support prevention.

Collaborate with ISG team members, development teams, business analysts, and technology practitioners to ensure data protection for systems used by all areas of the PepsiCo organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or other STEM equivalent required.

6-7 years overall IT Infrastructure experience preferably within Information Security, IT Audit or System Forensics.

REQUIRED 3+ years of recent information security experience. Prefer experience working with DLP, IDS/IPS and SIEM technologies and processes.

1-2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center preferred.

Demonstrated experience of security event monitoring concepts and escalation processes.

Familiarity of basic firewall and vulnerability scanner architecture, operations and configuration.

Demonstrated experience with networks (WAN, LAN, WLAN), network domains (Internet, intranet, DMZ), communication techniques/protocols (IP and others), and their combined effects on network and host systems security.

Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with direct managers, staff and vendors in both technical and business roles.

Able to defuse situations and collaborate with diverse personalities to achieve objectives.

Current CISSP certification preferred.

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification preferred.
