Full time, Mon-Fri days with exceptional benefits available.

Position Summary:
Greet guests, making them feel welcome. Provide excellent customer service at all times. Operate cash register accurately. Maintain the front of house, keeping service areas clean and stocked with product. Produce and display cold foods that are visually appealing and good tasting to Guckenheimer standards. Serve customers during meal periods.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • 2 year providing excellent one on one customer service in a food service or restaurant environment.
  • 1 year food preparation experience with demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written direction.
  • Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively in English. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to accurately use a cash register or computer key board for up to 2 hours continuously.
  • Recognize menu items and accurately charge customers for purchases.
  • Smile, greet, and serve customers making them feel welcome.
  • Prepare and stock service areas for beverages, desserts, snacks, paper products, condiments and other items.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Must be able to merchandise and present service stations in a pleasing manner according to Guckenheimer standards.
  • Must follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents.
  • Commitment to the service values and ethics of the client company.
  • Commitment to scratch cooking and healthful foods.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare cold foods as required, to Guckenheimer standards.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to patrons.
  • Substitute for or assist other employees as needed.
  • Must comply with all ServSafe and HACCP programs and principles.
  • Must be able to correctly and safely use standard kitchen equipment. Chefs' knives, convection ovens, meat and cheese slicing machines, steamers, mandolins, grills, broilers, dishwashing machines.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for food preparation and service.
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
  • Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations
  • Job required the ability to coordinate work with and follow the direction of the chef and other staff members.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 #. Employee must be able to work on their feet 7.5 hour per day excluding breaks.
  • Employee has to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
  • Must be able to load and push a cart a short distance.
