Our client has over 70 years of experience and dedication to processing premium natural vegetable flavorings. We are a fast growing, leading innovator in the food ingredient industry and are currently seeking an exceptional Maintenance Lead.



The Maintenance Lead will direct the team with/daily process concerns, changeover requests and project activities. Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, and pumps. Apply lean techniques and problem solving skills to support operations and maintenance teams. Repairing, enhancing and maintaining processing, packaging and building equipment and systems to troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities of this key position include:

? Perform basic to advanced repairs and PM tasks per work order instructions on size reducing food industry equipment including: dicers, & mills membrane filtration systems and fillers;

? Attend Safety and production meetings understanding and delivering the desired outcome;

? Drive continuous improvement in each step of the process;

? Mentor by teaching improvement measures;

? Apply mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to support OEM specifications on thermal processing equipment such as plate heat exchangers and scraped surface heat exchangers;

? Ability to communicate with PLC’s at the process work centers and the knowledge to troubleshoot and navigate these screens accurately;

? Familiarity with maintenance of positive displacement as well as, centrifugal, pneumatic diaphragm pumps, and progressive cavity pump applications;

? Ability to understand electrical concepts in order to repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters;

? Testing and repair/replacement of motors, breakers, control wiring on industrial equipment and facility wiring;

? Ability to determine root causes and re-engineering systems (electrically as well as mechanically) to prevent future failures

Experience Required

? Minimum 5 years’ experience;

? Excellent communication and decision making skills;

? Clear and effective oral and written communication skills;

? Ability to lift 50 lbs., move up to 100;

? Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred;

? Knowledge of OSHA compliance and FDA a plus;

? Able to think outside the box to develop modifications that could prevent future failures.

Educational Requirements

? High School Diploma or equivalent required;

? Industrial Maintenance College program or equivalent preferred.
