The Honeywell Footwear Group is seeking a dedicated, organized, and committed individual to be join our retail footwear group. This opportunity will provide qualified design students with the opportunity to gain hands on experience in assisting our Footwear Marketing teams. Candidates will learn what it is like working Footwear projects within an international organization and will be part of a dynamic team charged with creating innovation for the brands. The Honeywell Footwear Brands include: The Original Muck Boot Company, XTRATUF, Servus by Honeywell, Ranger Outdoor, and NEOS.
We are looking for a Design Intern for the summer of 2016. Candidate should be local to the Smithfield, RI area and able to work in the US full-time without sponsorship. Please include a portfolio as a part of your application.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the marketing department with various tasks including trend research, design presentations, technical specification creation and color selection.
* Help create trend/story boards under the guidance of product managers.
* Assist the categories in completing colorways/material packages for individual projects.
* Help create or revise tech/spec packages for footwear and graphics.
Basic Qualifications:
* Pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline
* Graduating between Fall 2016-Summer 2017
* Must be able to complete an internship prior to graduating
* Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a must
Additional Qualifications:
* Solid sketching, rendering and visualization skills a plus
* Team oriented individual who can also work well independently
* Interested in product design.
* Interest or knowledge in footwear
