Overview:

Inventory control is vital to the efficient and cost effective operations of Select Comfort’s fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Inventory Analyst partners with other departments to solve inventory related challenges and keep operations running smoothly. The Inventory Analyst role is instrumental in our daily hub inventory processes by providing an accurate analysis of inventory balances.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the inventory control processes on the assigned department at the hub level. Implements systems, policies, procedures and standards for processes within the distribution facility.
  • Lead the collection and reporting on hub inventory to leadership in Weekly Dashboard
  • Manages the cycle counting program, including design and implementation of the program and any needed changes. Provides guidance and training to the different team mangers in this process. Determines goals and metrics for their specific area. Strives for 100% physical and system match
  • Manages the yearly physical inventory and ensures that it is performed in compliance with the corporate policy
  • Analyzes inventory trends to determine root cause of discrepancies and implement fixes or process changes
  • Running the process of cycle counts; set up frequency for item type
  • Prepare and manage physical inventory end to end
  • Manage/maintain/forecast inventory for cycle, scrap, yield, supplies - each unique GLs - report in dashboard format
  • Management of Cycle Count process
  • Inventory analytics and reporting
  • Backup for Inventory Control Coordinator

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of inventory control analyst experience
  • Minimum two year degree in business or related field required
  • CPIM, APICS or other would be desirable
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environment, inventory and operations
  • Manager involvement in most decisions
  • Influence within the team/department
  • Requires exceptional computer skills, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate with personnel across the company
