Job Description

Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for an experienced Energy Services Sales Account Executive to manage and grow our Building Automation Energy Services territory in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will expand the value of assigned accounts for all Siemens Building Technologies offerings. Primary point of contact is with the end-user. The Account Executive will drive and coordinate new business across all products lines in order to meet objectives. General annual booking volume guideline is: Energy Services Projects at 2M and Service Contracts at 250K per year. Candidates from Energy Services Companies (ESCO), Utility Companies, Energy Efficiency product Manufacturing Companies, Mechanical and Electrical Services Companies are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

* Achieves booking and gross margin goals.

* Develops and implements plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.

* Team sells with other Salespeople as appropriate.

* Able to effectively handle the most sophisticated deals independently within established guidelines.

* Effectively performs needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.

* Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.

* Assists in resolving installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.

* Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports and expense tracking.

* Participates in civic and professional organizations, and sales department meetings, workshops and seminars.

* Keeps current knowledge of Electrical Utility Rebates in NY and NJ and Energy Services market in NY and NJ

* Posses thorough knowledge of Energy Optimization in the commercial office, Higher Education and healthcare buildings

* Posses thorough knowledge of Benchmarking, Energy Auditing and building Commissioning

* Develops and builds long-term relationships.

* Focuses on customer retention and satisfaction/loyalty.

* General annual booking volume guideline is: Energy Services Projects @ $2M and Service Contracts @ 250K per year.

Qualifications include:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Energy Management preferred, although candidates with equivalent experience of selling energy services projects and service contracts directly to end users for 10 years or more along with a minimum of a High School Diploma (or GED Equivalency) will also be considered

* Requires technical and financial expertise to effectively and independently estimate and sell Energy Projects

* Requires local Utility Incentives/Rebate expertise

* Requires Energy Optimization Expertise in the Commercial, Higher Education and Healthcare Markets

* Requires expertise in building benchmarking and retro-commissioning

* Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of Building automation, Electrical Systems, and HVAC Systems

* Experience with Energy Services Companies (ESCO), Utility Companies, Energy Efficiency product Manufacturing Companies, Mechanical and Electrical Services Companies are highly preferred

* Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license in good standing and must meet eligibility requirements to participate in the Siemens Vehicle Plan
