Sodexo is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry General Manager for a potential new sales at St. Josephs Villa, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania . As the housekeeping and laundry leader for the community you will supervise and schedule staff to exceed resident and client expectations.

This manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working with seniors and managing people, and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to manage the housekeeping and laundry operations and make every day a better day for our clients and residents. This manager will provide direct and indirect management to approximately 20 client employees. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with housekeeping in a mid-sized community, a working knowledge of DOH regulatory guidelines and be flexible with work hours. This position is also responsible for the positive outcomes for all planning and organizing, incorporating the Sodexo Brand, in a respectful and appreciative manner.

The ability to train, mentor and motivate hourly staff while driving change will be necessary. The ideal candidate for this position will also have strong client and employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to manage direct reports, handle multiple priorities, and quickly grasp the essence of the situation and logically progress through solutions. This manager will have the ability to implement Sodexo Seniors housekeeping systems to ensure timely execution to standards. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for driving and improving the resident experience for the Seniors we serve.

Position Summary

Directs all housekeeping operations at a single unit. Supervises all cleaning personnel. Responsible for maintaining payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
