Sodexo has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager 3 at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Illinois . The ideal candidate for this Food Production Manager position will have a culinary background, experience with ordering and inventory, Sodexo's Food Management System (FMS) or similar systems, strong computer skills, experience managing a work force of 10+ front line employees and a strong understanding of HACCP. As the Production Manager the selected candidate will be responsible for food quality and cost, placing food orders, completing inventory and will be the point person for all catering functions. The schedule will include rotating shifts and will include rotating weekend and some holidays.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
