Corporate Associate; Merchandise & Inventory Planning Program - Full-time

The Associate:

Working as an Associate in our Planning division is truly rewarding as you will have the opportunity to own and drive a business, watching your ideas and efforts directly affect sales and the customer experience. As an Associate Planner at Macy's, you will work in our NY headquarters office in the omni-channel planning division that manages both the online and stores business.

The Experience:

The Associate Planner Program will include 6 weeks of experiential training. You will be a part of a community from day 1, starting on the same day as a class of peers. During the 6 weeks of experiential learning, you will build a foundation through classroom learning and apply your knowledge to your assigned business. Essential Functions:

As an Associate, you will be placed in one of three positions within our omnichannel (site and stores) planning division:

Associate Merchandise Planner: responsible to ensure the Financial strategy supports national and localized assortments by store with appropriate receipt and inventory levels for a defined area within the Omni Merchandise Planner's total area of responsibility

Associate Inventory Planner: responsible for managing location inventory levels and driving replenishment to achieve sales, margin and turn for an area within the Omni Inventory Planner's total area of responsibility. Manage replenishment settings to achieve Merchandising goals and targets

Associate Merchant Forecaster: supports the Omni Director Merchant Forecasting in the development of In-Season Forecasts that align to the Merchandise strategy in order to maximize sales and profit

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree required
3+ years experience as a Finance Analyst, Assistant Buyer/Planner, or equivalent

Communication Skills:

Strong leadership impact including communication, influence, agility, curiosity and vision

Mathematical Skills:

Exceptional math and numerical reasoning skills with the ability to manage complex data sets

Other Skills:

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft excel skills
