OBJECTIVE: Achieve plant preventive and predictive maintenance of equipment and facility, development and maintenance of a repair manual library. Provides continued support to Plant teams for the achievement of superior self-manufactured products through high quality. Responsible for the development and training of our People and continually meeting our commitment to achieve superior service levels.

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary

People

- Oversight responsibility for coaching, training and development; typically of all non-exempt maintenance partners and exempt Maintenance Leaders with direct line reporting accountability

- Ensures Partner Certification Program is maintained and effective

- Review performance exceptions and improvement plans as needed

- Involves appropriate others and rapidly handles critical situations; provides updates to the appropriate Leader

- Ensures that area of responsibility is in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines and governance

- Communicate tactical and strategic plans/initiatives to Partners that typically impacts multiple maintenance team members within one department/Plant

- Develops, audits, trains and implements instructional procedures to ensures proper operation of equipment process

- Routinely reviews performance exceptions and improvement plans to ensure alignment to long term goals

- Allocation of labor and resources across teams

- Executes training plans as directed

- Communicates and monitors the Plant's Safety Program

- Ensures coordinator roles are in place and properly staffed

- Ensure that facility and processes support partner safety

- Interviews and approves job offers

- Routinely offer performance feedback and administer HEB Performance Management Appraisal as required

Quality

- Ensures that the facility and equipment comply with all local, state, and federal regulations

- Ensures compliance with environmental, OSHA and Texas Department of Health (TDH) regulatory agencies

- Establish and maintain quality procedures and approves work instructions

- Coordinates with the Operations Leader to establish and maintain equipment and facility standards

Service

- Creates, executes and audits the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Program to improve and move toward a total plant maintenance concept

- Coordinates with the Maintenance Team Leader the execution of preventive maintenance schedule

- Provide weekly summary of Plant projects and status to Leadership Team

- Effectively communicate maintenance status and scheduled activities with Plant Leadership

- Responsible for the maintenance of MSDS documentation

- Serves as liaison with Own Brand and R&D during the design or product improvement providing technical support and plant capability information

- Provides direction and coordinates with Facility Services to address building and ammonia refrigeration requirements

- Interfaces and maintains relations with all other manufacturing facilities in coordinating initiatives and the collaboration of resources

Profit

- Knowledgeable of technical advancements in the industry.

- Implementation of capital projects for the purpose of reducing cost and maintaining existing equipment.

- Completes authorized capital projects within the allotted budget and constraints.

- Controls the expenditures for parts, supplies and services

- Manages and reconciles invoices in a timely and accurate manner

- Develop and implement plans to achieve specific goals and objectives

- Provide Plant Leader with daily recap of plant results

- Make recommendations to Plant Leader on staffing levels

- Define/maintain appropriate skill sets for team

- Develop Plant production schedule

- Review profit Key Results Indicators (KRI) with Team Leaders

Education and Experience preferred

- Bachelor's Degree Required

(Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of related experience)

- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required

- High performance Work Team Experience

- Advanced leadership skills with proven ability in coaching and developing others

- Expert knowledge of maintenance skills

- Advanced knowledge and compliance in related areas: industry, EEOC and Employment Laws

- Strong analytical ability, troubleshooting and decision-making skills

- Working knowledge of HACCP, USDA, OSHA, FDA, and the state weight and measure requirements.

- Advanced communication skills (written, oral, and verbal)

- Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level not limited to: creating spreadsheets, graphs and charts and preparing presentations.

- Must be able to read schematics and blue prints

- Satisfactory completion of company sponsored training and development classes

- Participation in Leadership training and QES

- Ability to lead and motivate Partners in exempt and non-exempt roles

- Knowledge of the operating statement, inventory reports, CIP computer systems and PLC system

- Capital Budgeting Experience, a plus

- Strong knowledge of financial reports across multiple functional areas

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays

Physical and Other Requirements

- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays

- The facilities exhibit inside temperatures ranging from -35 to 130 degrees.

- Production floors can be wet and slippery due to various residues including product, water and chemical.

- Standing, stooping, walking, bending, and climbing are all expected physical abilities, with or without accommodations.

- The incumbent is able to lift 100 lbs.

- The facilities noise level ranges from normal to 100 db.

- The facilities have various gaseous materials including cleaning and sanitation agents and ammonia for refrigerant systems.
