About this job

Support and drive the execution of a focused investor relations strategy including general IR duties and detailed peer analysis. This position will report to the VP of IR and is responsible for the quarterly earnings process, investor conferences and roadshows, peer analysis and high-impact, quick turnaround projects for SVP/VP of IR and CEO/CFO. The role essentially supports the department's responsibility to develop and execute a concise and focused global investor relations strategy.

Real time competitive analysis and benchmarking efforts which include analysis of competitor, customer and supplier results, disclosures and strategies within peer group and versus PepsiCo.

Responsible for supporting interactions with Wall Street including communicating corporate strategy and performance to securities analysts with preparation of quarterly earnings press release as well as internal research support for preparation of executive presentations, speeches at analyst conferences, meetings, roadshows, etc. Must be able to interpret/synthesize large amounts of data/analysis to drive effective/efficient communication.

Develop detailed knowledge of valuation drivers for the company, the sector and peers. Monitor disclosures of competitors, customers and suppliers and benchmark versus PepsiCo to look for gaps/opportunities.

Must work effectively with various corporate/division functions (i.e. financial planning, accounting, legal, strategy, M&A, procurement, etc.) and develop collaborative relationships to drive effective two-way communication

Assist in monitoring consensus estimate(s) database and track detailed sell-side analyst forecasts/compile models for internal consensus estimate(s) analysis on quarterly basis - this process will also be required for key competitive peers on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications :

5-7 years of sell-side or buy-side research experience within consumer sector (which involved executive interactions)

MBA, CFA or CPA a plus

Strong financial and accounting knowledge of the company, the peer group and capital markets

Strong understanding of both micro and macro-economic factors that drive capital markets activity within staples/broader consumer sector

Highly motivated individual who challenges traditional thinking with a solutions-based approach

Proactive in anticipating needs of VP and SVP of IR and has flexibility with daily work schedule (especially during quarterly EPS reporting season for PEP and peers)

Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, listening)

Bloomberg/Factset knowledge a must with very high proficiency in excel and powerpoint

Occasional US and International travel required
