Phlebotomist - Mobile

Mobile phlebotomist provides phlebotomy services to a majority of geriatric patients who reside in nursing home, assisted living and private homes. Requires excellent phlebotomy, safety and multitasking skills. Adept at obtaining blood specimens from the occasional difficult stick patient. Good driving record. The ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy and dependability without close supervision. Processing of specimens according to specific test requirements, including serum and plasma pour offs, freezing of specimens, and room temperature preparation for transport to testing laboratory. Early morning start at 5am unless otherwise stated. Mobile phlebotomy requires use of personal vehicle with work mileage compensated through a company set expense account.

Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection. Phlebotomy experience - pediatric and geriatric capillary and venipuncture - required. Phlebotomy Certification required; if in CA, then California Phlebotomy Techinician Certification required.

Requires excellent phlebotomy skills especially with geriatric patients, able to meet 5:00am start time, be comfortable with nursing home and house call blood draws, good driving record, must use personal vehicle and will be paid for mileage. Excellent communication skills and able to work in a fast paced healthcare environment keeping patient satisfaction as a professional goal.

Will work nursing homes blood draws in morning and House call blood draws in morning/.afternoon
