This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with public tax accounting expertise wanting to transition in to corporate OR for candidates with corporate income tax experience!
The tax analyst will perform general tax duties including, but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of federal, state and local income returns, payments and extensions.
- Extract reports and perform analysis of the general ledger to calculate tax estimate.
- Prepares the tax provision, tax footnote and analysis of general ledger tax accounts.
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Support and maintain the filing of Sales/Use tax returns for various states.
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency in current federal, relevant international and state income tax laws and regulations
- Assist in gathering information, researching tax issues and drafting formal responses to federal and state audit requests
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of corporate/public accounting tax experience. Strong accounting knowledge is preferred.
- Must possess strong MS Excel and analytical skills
- Multi-state income tax experience is required.
- Detail oriented with a strong desire to manage a process.
