The St. Louis Southwest PrideStaff is currently seeking an ambitious and motivated Counter Sales Representative on behalf of one of our established clients in South City, St. Louis. This is a GREAT opportunity for someone who is looking to break away from the warehouse and into a customer service role. Full-time, temp-to-hire position, and with comprehensive benefits upon hire.

Pay: $12.00+ an hour

Hours: M – F, First Shift

***Candidate will need to train in the warehouse for a minimum of 6 months before moving to office to become knowledgeable on company’s products and services.***

Job Description:
  • Ability to train 6 months in warehouse prior to moving into office to learn company’s products
  • Responsible for filing customer orders in a timely and accurate manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and new products; participating in educational opportunities
  • Effectively handle inbound calls from customers and enter their orders into company data base
  • Ability to effectively sell new products and services to existing customers
  • Access company information from the company system data base for answers to customers’ technical questions


Job Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Experience in office environment answering inbound calls
  • Computer literate (experience in P21 a plus)
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs
  • Have consistent and reliable means of transportation
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • Must provide 2 work references (no personal references please)
