Pharmacy Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Perform mathematical calculations to determine appropriate drug measurements in order to compound ordered medications
- Assist with the dispensing of prescriptions
- Create and maintain reports of prescriptions
- Conduct routine medication inventories including monitoring for drug expiration dates and assist with inventory control of medications
- Assist in ordering supplies and medications
- Comply with the pharmacy incident reporting policy
- Assist in compounding preparations and dispensing prescription medication in compliance with state and federal laws, as well as the pharmacy’s standard operation procedures
- Check all orders received in the system and ensure orders are processed timely and accurately
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of sterile compounds
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas

Specific Pharmacy Technician requirements:
- Area: Ability to work in the Folcroft, PA area
- Licensure requirements: Must have valid, open and active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Years of experience: 2+ year(s) of recent experience in any pharmacy setting
- Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm
- Length of Assignment: Temporary to hire
- Pay: 15.00 – 16.00
- Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, client health screening criteria and drug screen
