The Digital Innovation Group at Providence is looking for a Technology Support Specialist to assist in building a top-tier product development organization that will transform healthcare through technology that is smart, sophisticated, user-centric, and intuitive. In this position you will:

Apply your Technology expertise to improve the health care experience for both patients and providers. The Technology Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting a complex Digital Innovation environment at an enterprise level across the organization. You'll be a self-starter and be responsible for customer service, troubleshooting, and assisting others with technical solutions, bringing to bear your experience in the industry and your desire to keep learning new things. You'll do this in a way that respects team work, diversity of opinion, and maintains our organization's mission (Know Me, Care for Me, Ease My Way), and core values of Respect, Compassion, Justice, Excellence and Stewardship.

Responsibilities:

You dive deep into technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team.

You will work with team members to analyze, recommend, and implement technical solutions to business requirements.

You have the ability to effectively troubleshoot and collaborate across geographical boundaries.

You will perform with broad independence on multiple projects and assignments.

You are organized; analytical; self-starting problem solver.

You are able to communicate technical ideas to non-technical team members.

You will resolve disputes and other issues that might arise quickly and in a manner that supports the mission of Providence.

You are able to manage workload and set appropriate expectations to team members.

You build strong relationships with whole team and organization.

You are professional with client facing skills including good verbal and written communication.

You provide transparency of your activities to management and team.

Required qualifications for this position include :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.

Competency in a blend of the following areas, typically achieved in 5 or more years of closely related experience:

5 years' experience with configuring, troubleshooting and providing solutions for multiple operating systems (Windows & Mac).

3 years working in domain environments supporting access to domain and non-domain resources.

Experience working with laptop, desktop security hardening best practices.

Experience working with hardware & software audio/video technologies.

Experience working with conferencing/messaging technologies.

Experience with a variety of monitoring tools and concepts.

Ability to integrate various technologies into custom solutions as needed.

Ability to recognize repetitive tasks that can be automated.

Working knowledge of multiple scripting languages to automate everything.

Working knowledge of networking protocols.

Working knowledge of software agile methodologies.

Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and communicate technical solutions at all levels.

Mentor other team members and cross train on skill set.
