About this job
The Dispensing Technician performs duties associated with filling prescriptions in the pharmacy including the automated drug dispensing system (optifill), unit of use and manual pick. In addition, this technician stocks the pharmacy area with supplies and necessary materials. May perform other related Pharmacy duties as business needs require.
*Shift C-Sunday 2:00 PM., to 12:30 AM., Thursday and Friday 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM., Saturday, 2:00 PM., to 12:30 AM.
Required Qualifications * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to maintains focus to meet production requirements, without compromising quality.
* Attention to detail skills to ensure accurate filling of prescription orders.
* Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, as well as reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk.
* Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
* Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in the pharmacy to process orders.
Preferred Qualifications *Experience working in a pharmacy or similar environment is desired, but not required.
* Solid understanding of prescriptions and related terms preferred.
Education *Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
