About this job
The Mental Health Technician is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient's therapeutic treatment plan. The Mental Health Technician works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Under supervision of a professional nurse, the MHT provides personal hygiene, hair care, oral care, feeding, bathing, bed making, and assists patients with ambulation and elimination.
* High School graduate or equivalent.
* Current CPR for health care provider required.
* Minimum one-year of experience in patient care in a therapeutic mental health setting is preferred.
* 3-6 months experience with direct care of the elderly, preferred.
