Job Opportunity - Machine Operator

Summary:

Operating and maintaining all types of heavy machinery and equipment.

Description of Duties:

• Translating the blueprints and dimensions on drawings to perform aligning, loading, operating, and other related tasks
• Sets up and operates machines to lap glass, metal, plastics, ceramics, composites and crystals to proper curve, thickness and surface finish; polishes optical components to prescribed specifications.
• Specifies and assembles sophisticated tooling and test equipment for the fabrication and testing of optical components appropriate to projects.
• Recalibrating and cleaning the machineries after completing the production activities
• Monitoring the machine operations to see that the finished products and components are aptly matching with the quality and quantity constraints of the company
• Checking the newly installed machines for their efficiency and delivering a report for the same to the senior officials

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Must be able to work on feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Work experience in glass or fragile material is a plus
• Must have the ability to work well with a team

• Sound technical skills and ability to fix problems with any type of machinery
• Demonstrate experience in optical handling and safety
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Demonstrate ability to follow and document precision processes and procedures
