About this job
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to support development and design of custom components and mechanical assemblies. Candidates will be responsible for designing mechanical assemblies and producing detailed bills of materials, labor routings, and geometric dimensioned and toleranced engineering drawings to support fabrication of drafted assemblies. Interface with manufacturing groups to assist in fabrication of custom assemblies and troubleshooting in real time.
Candidate must be mechanically inclined with a good understanding of structural mechanics and static loads. Candidate must also be skilled with Microsoft word and excel.
Candidates will be responsible for building prototypes, develop collateral material, and support existing products through technical support and sales support.
Candidates will also be responsible for creating geometric dimensioned & toleranced drawings in conjunction with BOM and routings
Qualified Candidates will have the following:
BS in Mechanical Engineering
2+ years with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
**Must have hands on or industry experince in designing flooring finishes: LVT, hardwood, porcelain etc.
