Responsibilities:
Our Medical Social Workers (MSWs) assess the psychosocial functioning of patients and families in need of services. This includes connecting patients and families to resources such as psychotherapy services, supportive counseling or helping patients to locate an appropriate social support program within the community.
Qualifications:
Medical Social Workers (MSWs) must meet the following requirements:
Be a graduate of a Master's degree program from an accredited school, or graduate of a Bachelor's degree program if there is a Master's-prepared social worker already on staff Be currently licensed as a social worker, as applicable, in the state of employment One year of experience as a social worker in health care is required Demonstrate good verbal and written communication and organization skills Possess a valid state driver's license, automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation kept in good working condition
