Relay Technician

Our local client in Columbia, SC has an immediate need for a Relay Technician. This will be a long - term opportunity with a growing company. Per diem will be offered for qualifying candidates. The essential duties required are listed below:

- Solid state testing, over current programming
- Transmission and distribution relay testing, doble or omicron test kits
- Testing both electromechanical and solid state relays
- Schweitzer Relays
- Over Current differential in the substation
- Combo of both upgrading and new construction from electromechanical to solid state
- Working with one of their engineers, engineers will do the design,
- Technician will go out during the commission to test the cables, landing the wires to the relay and programming the relays after all of the design is done.
- Will be 50/50 in the field but can shift
