The individual will coordinate and support Materials activities to achieve cost and service effective results. Plans, negotiates and executes the purchase of assigned goods and services in accordance to corporate policies and procedures. The Junior Buyer/Analyst will also provide general support for team members and be responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support department initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for placement and conveyance of purchase orders and/or contracts as required.

a. Reviews and validates demand notice, converts to contract and transmits to supplier.
b. Ensures costing and delivery information is accurate and up to date.
c. Expedites and de-expedites materials as required providing regular updates to team members on part status.
d. Resolves invoice and receiving discrepancies.
e. Modifies and amends purchase orders as required
2.Ensures item record and vendor integrity within ERP. Monitors and analyzes data to establish inventory replenishment quantities, economic order quantities, etc.
3. Participates in obsolete and slow moving inventory control and assessment. Coordinates stock rotations and returns.
4. Assists in strategic evaluation of suppliers. Captures and summarizes supplier Quality and Delivery, performance history; providing summary reports to team members and regular scorecard information to suppliers.
