Summary: This position maintains the hydroponics equipment, monitors plant growth and harvests produce. As well as interact with guests, answering questions about the program. This position requires an understanding of horticulture and how it can be applied to controlled environment production. A background of horticulture science, hydroponics, chemistry and farming will be key pieces of knowledge required for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check and adjust water levels, PH & PPM levels, Document into spreadsheets – Multiple Locations.
• Monitor / Harvest plants and document weight – Multiple Locations.
• Monitor Seedling Center – Seed Germination – Multiple Locations.
• Customer Education Interaction – Multiple Locations.
• Assemble equipment– Multiple Locations.
• Maintain equipment, clean and sanitize – Multiple locations.
• Innovate and suggest ways to incorporate Microsoft Technology.
• Ensure timers are working correctly for pumps and lights.
• Maintain KCHD regulations.
• Traveling between multiple locations.
• Other duties may be assigned.
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers. Must possess valid Food handlers permit.

Education and Experience:

Required high school diploma or GED; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Basic understanding of hydroponics and plant production is required. Experience with indoor cultivation is preferred. Understanding of plant production will be a key area of knowledge and required for this position.
