Production Worker - Full-time / Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY:
You will be required to assists in operation of production, inspect product, assemble boxes, pack product for distribution, stack filled cases on pallets for shipping, and perform other duties as needed to ensure continuous operation of a production line. This position may alternate with other positions within the plant.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* SAFETY: Maintain the highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
*QUALITY:
Maintains company standards for cleanliness, equipment safety and efficient productivity.
Performs all required inspections of products and packaging per specifications with proper documentation and ensures compliance with company quality standards.
*TEAMWORK: Effectively communicates verbally and written with Team Members and Management Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals on a daily basis.
*FUNCTIONS: Practices integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors. Records all information as required.
Assists in setting up machine prior to shift start up.
Visually inspects product for quality defects and removes defective product.
Assists in operation of production in accordance with Safety standards, specifications and instruction.
Maintains standard production quantities/rates for each product to ensure continuous production.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or repetitive work a plus
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally & written and work well with Team Members and Management.
Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful.
Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:
You will be working in a manufacturing environment where you will regularly be required to speak, read and comprehend, sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment. You must be able to push/pull 150 pounds short distances. You will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. You may be required to stand for up to 12 hours per shift with regular breaks. Also you may be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. You will regularly be exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap. The noise level in the plant is loud.
SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards. Condition of these items must be inspected daily and be replaced when no longer providing the optimal protection required for you by OSHA.
