A Life-Changing Career
Responsibilities: The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant performs the following tasks :
-Obtaining patient history
-Performing physical examinations
-Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
-Formulating a diagnostic impression -Developing and implementing a treatment plan
-Monitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
-Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs
-Making appropriate referrals
-Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication
-First assists in the operating room
-Performing minor procedures and surgical procedures
-Demonstrates ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs
Qualifications: Nurse Practitioner: Must be a graduate of an accredited university. Master of Science in Nursing required (If licensed prior to 1998, Master's degree not required by the State of Florida). Must be licensed or eligible to practice as an ARNP in the State of Florida.
Physician Assistant: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Must be NCCPA certified. Must be licensed or eligible to practice as a PA in the state of Florida.
Additional Qualifications: BLS preferred.
License or Certification: Current ARNP or PA license to practice in the state of Florida required.
Exemption Status: Exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3604.80, based on a full-time position.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Monday-Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm with some evenings working in the OR
Weekend Schedule: N/A
