Sodexo's universities segment is seeking a Retail Manager 1 to join our food services team at Central State University . Central State University is commonly referred to as CSU, is a historically black university (HBCU) and is located in Wilberforce, Ohio . CSU has a brand new state of the art resident dining facility with seating for 535 students and World of Wings Cafe (WOW) located in the new university student center .
The Retail Manager will be responsible for the management of retail sales within our WOW cafe and will oversee our campus vending contract. Successful candidate and will execute the ongoing development of Sodexo's retail strategy to drive sales, revenue and customer satisfaction for this account . Reporting to the General Manager, this Retail Manager will supervise approximately 20-25 associates. .
Additional Job Responsibilities Include:
Maintain cash control and payroll records, as well as inventory, and purchasing. Monitor and report on the unit retail budget annually, as well as all other reporting including labor and sales reporting for this high volume retail location. Management, team-building and scheduling of 20-25 associates. Ensure high quality customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation and overall workplace safety standards. Drive sales, revenue, customer and client satisfaction.

Strong understanding of retail marketing concepts and strategies. Self-motivated with strong drive to be process oriented. Understanding of Sodexo systems is beneficial. Position Summary
Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
