JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to supply servers with items and supplies for the front of the venue to function effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (includes but is not limited to the following)
* Serve general items such as soups, salads, appetizers and entrees to serving areas.
* Properly set up the serving tray with all dishes and necessary plate ware.
* Take mentioned items to the proper guerdon quickly and efficiently without dropping tray.
* Set up condiments for service.(i.e. soy sauce, Mr. Chow hot sauce, plum sauce etc.)
* Set up to go orders and left over food for guest.
* Polish glassware, silverware and plateware.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
* Knowledge of electrical equipment usage.
* Ability to perform basic math skills.
* Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
* Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions .
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
* Requires mobility, bending, and reaching from floor level to six (6) feet.
* Ability to reach a minimum of two feet across a table to serve guests.
* Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering trays and carts weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds through crowded areas.
* Pushing and pulling chairs weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
* Moving tables weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
* Sense of smell, touch, and sound.
* Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
* Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
* Normal vision and hearing range.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Work is performed in a crowded environment (i.e., areas having a two-foot access).
* Use of chemical and electrical equipment.
* Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation preferred.
