About this job
This role is part of the BI/Data Management team and will support complex data needs for both development and support for PepsiCo Master Data Management. The BI/Data Management Associate Specialist will support the business in transforming processes across various functions, including Supply Chain, Selling & Delivery, Manufacturing & Logistics, Retail, Food Service, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Performance Reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with multiple application teams to define data needs, influence application and data design and align with Sector and/or Enterprise goals
Design relational databases in Oracle, IBM DB2 and/or Teradata environments; creates data and process solutions for business and systems requirements
Design and develop applications to support the create, load and maintenance of Sector and/or Enterprise Data
Lead requirements gathering meetings with application teams, Database Administrators, and/or business partners to understand business needs; help define and anticipate business needs
Perform quality assurance reviews, created by junior members, to ensure requirements have been met and design is optimized for functionality and performance
Identify and resolve complex data integration issues
Establish, and enforce data principles, standards and best practices; advocate Enterprise data strategies and direction.
Develop teams' skills through training, coaching, and mentoring
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree (MIS, IT or STEM related field preferred)
Work Experience:
7+ years' experience in database development, data analysis or data management/governance
Skills & Capabilities:
5 years of experience working in multiple relational database systems (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server); Teradata preferred
Proficient in creating stored procedures and triggers as well as complex SQL queries
Strong experience in data integration and analysis
Master Data Management experience a plus
Strong experience working in Unix and Windows environments
Experience with ETL packages (Informatica, SAP Data Services) a plus
Strong interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communications skills; experience with remote or virtual teams
