Afton Alps has a beautiful 18 hole golf course, with scenic views of the St. Croix River Valley, and an abundance of wildlife that will make your golf experience unlike any other. Afton is less than 20 minutes from Hastings, Woodbury, Cottage Grove, and Hudson. 

 

Lead Golf Instructors will assist with the management of daily golf operations, including tracking and managing play of junior golfers, greeting and assisting guests, teaching lessons to junior golf guests, and keeping the golf carts clean and free of debris.  Duties may also include assisting guests with purchases in the clubhouse, providing guest service while guests are in the clubhouse, processing point of sale transactions to include tee-time reservations, walk-in golf, and golf cart rentals.  Additional duties include assisting the head golf teaching pro. Afton's Youth Golf Camps and League season is June - August. There will be other duties as assigned.

 


Qualifications:

• 16 years of age or older - required
• Valid Driver's License - required
• Enjoy working with youth ages 5 to 17 years
• Previous guest service experience and excellent guest service skills - required
• Previous golf experience- basic golf instruction, golf rules and etiquette - preferred
• Set up Jr. Tee markers on the course - required
• Able to organize and manage junior golf playing groups- required
• Willingness to learn and to teach lessons - required
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions - required
• Able to work weekdays - required
• Able to work on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8am to noon- required
• Able to work the Golf Camps June 22 - 25 - required
• Able to work the entire season from July 7 to August 13  - required
