Certified Home Health Aide

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate certified home health aides to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care

*Qualified candidates must have a HHA certification that is in good standing with the NJ Board of Nursing*

Requirements to be a Certified Home Health Aide:

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
• Must have a current physical (within the past calendar year)
• 1st and 2nd step PPD's OR 3 consecutive years of PPD's.  If you have had a positive PPD - we need a current chest xray from your doctor with the results and it must state that you had the chest xray done due to a positive PPD. The chest x-ray must be within the calendar year.
• MMR Vaccination OR Rubella and Rubeola titers.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends. We are a 24 hour a day agency and staff CAREGivers around the clock.
