Home Instead Senior Care of Waterford is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team, and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
Home Instead Senior Care's Waterford offices train our CAREGivers to perform all the duties of a Home Health Aide, and do not differentiate between companionship caregivers and Home Health Aide caregivers, but expect that all our caregiving staff are willing and able to do all the duties required. These duties include, but are not limited to:

Home Instead Senior Care's Waterford offices train our CAREGivers to perform all the duties of a Home Health Aide, and do not differentiate between companionship caregivers and Home Health Aide caregivers, but expect that all our caregiving staff are willing and able to do all the duties required. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Companionship/activities
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Transportation/errands/outings
- Assistance with transferring and ambulation, including the use of gait belt, wheelchair, or lifts
- Assistance with grooming and bathing, including showers, baths, and bed bathing
- Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues, brief changes, etc.
- Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson's care
- Hospice client support/end of life care
Please make sure you meet ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS before you apply:
- Must be 21 years of age or older, no exceptions, and a high school graduate or GED recipient
- Must possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance (provided as an auto declaration policy page to the office, not just the insurance card) along with your own reliable vehicle to commute to client's home (and provide transport if necessary). Must possess a valid social security card and be able to provide proof of all these components at interview.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds, and be able to safely transfer a client
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and provide Motor Vehicle Report from the Secretary of State. Must be a bondable/insurable candidate
- Must be able to participate in the hands-on skills class, online training, and other coursework required for hire, as well as be committed to ongoing training for continuing education.
- Ability to care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
