Home Instead Senior Care is looking for Care Givers to join our team. Our Care Givers give our clients quality of life while keeping them safe and secure. Most services are provided in the client's homes. Some services are provided in Assisted Living Facilities and hospitals.
You will be responsible for: following the care plan, observing clients, reporting and documenting observations. We strive to ensure quality, continuity and safety for our clients.
Our client's are very important to us, as well as their well being and safety. We are looking for a qualified CNA or Care Giver to provide the best care possible, in addition there is a potential hire bonus as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• MANUAL HOYAR LIFT EXPERIENCE (if you do NOT have this level of experience please do NOT apply)
• Provide personal care
• Bathing
• Grooming, including oral care
• Assist the client with dressing
• Assist the client with toileting
• Assist in feeding
• Support good skin care to prevent skin breakdown (i.e. turn and reposition client, actively encourage movement)
• Observe client's physical, mental and emotional conditions
• Assist client in the self-administration of medication (medication reminder)
• Perform light housekeeping
• Perform meal preparation and clean up
• Change bed linens and make up the client's bed
• Maintain an orderly client environment
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities
• Respond rapidly and appropriately in an emergency situation
QUALIFICATIONS:
• CNAs are welcome to apply
• Must be able to legally work and undergo license and criminal background check
• Drug Free
• Fingerprint check results must be compliant with IL Dept of Public Health standards
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English
• Treats clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and present a positive attitude
• Work as a team member
• Ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
