Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of International Regulatory Affairs Associate will be responsible for supporting international projects in order to support our growth globally. The position will work closely with 3M Regional Regulatory and Quality Compliance Leaders to provide necessary regulatory deliverables for product registration, provide product teams with requirements, and lead large re-registration activities due to emerging regulations to maintain the business. This person will be a key individual located at the headquarters to act a liaison between international teams and the sources of supply. The role will need to work in close collaboration to assure compliance and growth with the Global Regulatory Affairs Leaders, business management and international stakeholders to support unique geographies with high external regulatory burden (i.e. Russia, Middle East, and Eastern Europe).

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Act as liaison for subsidiaries to support business plans and regulatory needs for 3M Health Care products (medical devices, drugs, and cosmetics)

- Assist and guide product teams on international regulatory changes, registration requirements, and project plans to support global regulatory strategic plans with minimal guidance in key growth countries

- Compile, prepare and submit necessary regulatory documents to subsidiaries in order to obtain product approvals in support of new or existing products

- Manage and track international regulatory deliverables to assure alignment with business goals and timely responses

- Provide support on special regulatory assignments relating to the development of internal procedures, training, and interpretation of existing or new international regulations

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited university

- Minimum of three (3 ) years of healthcare product experience in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and/or Product Development

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree higher in Life Sciences, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university

- Experience leading and/or working in regulatory affairs and/or quality management systems

- Ability to work within team structure to influence and support subsidiary regulatory needs

- Ability to work in a global/matrix environment

- Bilingual (English and Japanese, Hangul, Russian, Arabic, or Hebrew a plus)

- Microsoft Office proficient, documentation management systems a plus

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized
