About this job

Server Position

  • Greets guests promptly and courteously, reviews specials, Club Cantina program, and menu options.
  • Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items.
  • Maintains service station, before, during and after shift to ensure proper set-up and cleanliness. Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer.
  • Confirms ready orders for accuracy, then runs them from kitchen to guest, as part of team service. Before departing table, ensure that guests have their complete order, cooked to their satisfaction and all their required items are delivered.
  • Ensures Guest satisfaction throughout the meal service, including drink refills, pre-bussing and removal of empty plates.
  • Delivers check promptly, completes transaction and thanks guests for coming to OTB. Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to operate computerized POS system, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions
  • Team Player, ability to work within a fast paced, team environment
  • Valid Food Worker Card (if required by state or county)
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of serving experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Host/Hostesses work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, environment to deliver a fantastic dining experience to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets guests in a friendly and inviting manner
  • Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
  • Advise guests of current specials, new menu items, promotions and Club Cantina
  • Manage restaurant waiting list during high volume times to accurately set guest expectations
  • Clear, clean and reset tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest
  • Always sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • Assists other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

POSITION SUMMARY:

Cocineros are the "heart of the house" and perfectly prepare guests' meals, ensuring a great dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare high quality food to On The Border specifications
  • Adhere to OTB safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Communicate cook times, potential issues with Managers and Team Members
  • Detailed knowledge of the menu, including all seasonal/promotional items
  • Complete assigned prep work, set-up and breakdown of the kitchen
  • Ensure proper rotation of all products; stocks to requirements
  • Clean and sanitize throughout the shift-"clean as you go
  • Able to effectively communicate with other Team Members and Managers
