Sushi Chef Helper

We have a part-time opening for a Sushi Chef helper.

Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week and be available weekdays and weekends.

• Must have 1 or more years experience.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Background check required.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Basic knife handling skills
• MUST have a passion for food
• Great customer service and communication skills strongly preferred
• Food Handler Card
• Qualified candidates will be friendly, customer-oriented, self-disciplined, focused, and excellent with time management
• Have reliable transportation
• Open availability (including evenings and weekends)
• Comfortable working with/touching raw fish, shellfish and other products
• Is under direct supervision of Executive Chef
• Will prepare, cut, clean, cook and plate items as direct by Executive Chef
• Precision and attention to detail in regards to plating (make it picture worthy)
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 40lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work in a confined space with other team members, for duration of shift
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English (knowledge of the Japanese language is a plus)
• Must pass drug screen and background check if selected for hire
