Southern Maine's most trusted and preferred source of non-medical companionship and home care, Home Instead Senior Care, is looking for a RECRUITER to join the Kennebunk office. 

The Recruiter is an integral part of the Staffing department, whose primary responsibilities focus on sourcing, interviewing, and hiring CAREGivers (SM) and administrative activities supporting their hiring, training, and retention. The Recruiter is typically among the first people that job seekers encounter; our company’s success depends on a culture that combines professionalism, with service-orientation, excellence, and efficiency; coupled with a sincere understanding of the motivation of individuals who choose to assist older adults as companions and/or providers of hands-on personal care.

The Recruiter reports to the General Manager.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring of qualified CAREGivers;
  • Perform reference checks and background checks; coordinate substance screening tests for applicants and staff;
  • Coordinate with training personnel the orientation and training of new hires and others;
  • Manage all required HR-related documentation – paper and computer-based – for new hires and others;
  • Actively work with the General Manager and HR Manager suggesting recruitment and retention strategies to respond to staffing needs and tactical and strategic company goals.
