We are currently seeking a bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Senior Employee Relations Specialist to sit in our Hayward office working with our Managers for the busy Northern California, Seattle and Portland Markets.

Job duties included in the role:

  • Works closely with field managers in assigned region on all associate relations.
  • Provides guidance to managers for associate counseling and disciplinary action.
  • Investigates and helps resolve associate related grievances.
  • Provides information and answers questions regarding company HR policy.
  • Researches and responds to outside agency grievances, in partnership with the Home Office Human Resources Department.
  • Manage workforce reductions, restructures, changes and communication channels.
  • Coaches management on initiatives to drive performance and assists with Performance Review process.
  • Assists the Corporate Benefits Department with Benefit Administration (enrollments, questions, etc.) and conducts Open Enrollment meetings.
  • Assists the Compensation Department with salary increase evaluations for transfers and promotions.
  • Ensures new hire documentation is completed and orientation conducted for all new associates in area of responsibilities.
  • Assists with assigned open positions and development of recruiting strategies required to meet short and long term staffing goals.
  • Attends divisional meetings and applicable networking events as required.

Successful Candidates possess:

  • Requires 5 years of HR management experience with a strong emphasis in employee relations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university or college.
  • Must have working knowledge of labor and employment laws and EEOC requirements.
  • Must have experience working in a multi-unit, multi-state environment.
  • Prior experience working in the hospitality and/or service industry a plus.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
