This is a highly skilled position, requiring qualification and significant experience in maintaining, repairing and operation of medium (5kv) & high (25kv) voltage electrical pad mount equipment and cable systems at Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts, which owns 100% of the on-mountain electrical infrastructure. Focusing on continued overall improvement in reliability directly effecting a positive guest experience and expectations.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Primary responsibility is to ensure all safety and compliance requirements associated with OSHA 1910.269, operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems are followed.
• Provide emergency repairs and troubleshooting of distributions systems at Breckenridge & Keystone.
• Proficient and knowledgeable in techniques and equipment used for locating underground cables.
• Skilled at 600 & 200 amp cable terminations and techniques involved.
• Implement power system studies such as energy monitoring, harmonic analysis, fault coordination and grounding.
• Assist in construction of 25kv underground cable and distribution systems.
• Responsible for maintaining a positive business relationship within the resort organization.

 

Requirements:

• 2 year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Construction 
• 4 or more years in electrical utility trade or construction.
• State of Colorado Journeyman Electrical License or Lineman Certificate
• Microsoft Office, Arc GIS, Metering software programing.
• Fluent English
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License
• Experienced in underground 25 kv terminations and cable installation techniques.
• Able to frequently lift 50-100lbs
