Intermodal Account Manager - Full-time / Part-time

$16-$18/hr. to start (negotiable for the right, skilled person); overtime opportunities.

We are looking for an self-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented MULTI-TASKER with good communication skills and experience in logistics, to join a growing company in Birmingham.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be excellent on the phone - great phone voice & customer service skills; able to build customer rapport over phone.
• Min. 1 year shipping and receiving experience.
• Min. 2 years' experience with customer service, inside sales, client care, etc.
• Ability to think outside the box, working in a fast paced, sometimes stressful, environment.
• Quick to learn, with solid keyboard & Microsoft Office skills.
• Very detail oriented & organized.
• A multi-tasker - able to juggle various jobs & priorities throughout the day.
• "Unflappable" personality when dealing with shipping problems, deadlines, upset customers, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a set of accounts for an established, well-regarded transportation brokerage.
• Take job orders from customers; fill customer needs; resolve customer problems, track shipments and oversee operations.
• Work closely with the Shipping/Receiving department to make sure that shipments are received & sent out in an accurate manner.
• Work with analyst and production team to set up and maintain shipment plans.
• You will be working daily on the telephone while simultaneously looking up information and making entries on the computer.
