Quality Control – Quality Control Inspector – Quality Assurance
JOB DUTIES
- The Quality Control Inspector inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.
- Performs basic dimensional and visual inspection of first-article, in-process and final inspection. (Product Inspection and Fill Out Forms)
- Assures the finished goods assembly is in compliance to all specifications and releases product into Syspro.
- Performs Inventory Audits. (Counts and Electronically Scans into Inventory)
- Prepares and maintains required inspection records. (Data Entry)
- Uses various measuring devices or instruments (Tape measurer, calipers, gauges…) to ensure product compliance with specifications. (How to Use Tools, Hands on Inspection)
- Rejects defective parts (Hold for Supervisor), marks type of defect on forms, provide sample and note down on inspection sheet. (QC Notice/Corrective Action)
- May perform plastic melt index, UV, impact, and other materials and product testing. (Optional – Supervisor Level)
- May perform under other programs or generate metrics for Statistical Process Control. (Special Assignments and QC/Production Process Controls)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Good Communication skills
- Must have excellent written skills
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Ability to utilize effective decision making skills.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must communicate effectively and courteously by keeping all levels of management/intermediate personnel informed.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision and colored vision.
- Computer knowledge, Microsoft Office or other software’s such as Adobe.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience in Quality Control.
SHIFT:
2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Monday - Friday with potential to work Saturday.
