Activities Assistant - Virginia - Part Time

We are hiring an Activities Assistant working on-call to assist our Director with organized functions at our properties in Falls Church, Crystal City and Rosslyn (with occasional travel to Gaithersburg). This position works 10-20 hours/week. You must be able to work Saturday morning and some weeknights and some weekdays.

Successful Candidates Have:

Customer service experience and strong communication skills
Experience working with children is highly desirable
Catering and kitchen equipment experience helpful (i.e., stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker)
AV equipment experience helpful
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required to drive to events and carry supplie

Key Features of Your Day:

Order all food and equipment
Meet seminar speakers and set-up conference room for seminar
Set-up VCR and theater for movies
Set-up food and beverages for staff meetings
Direct activities; including setting up and breaking down events
Plan and supervise Sunday breakfasts
Conduct entertainment events (i.e., bingo, ice cream socials, picnics, etc.)
Delivery of flyers and monthly newsletters
