Account Representative/Merchandiser



 



Position Type:  Full Time/Exempt                    Wage:  tbd - Biweekly



Location:  South Metro



 



Account Rep



Candidate will have proven experience in selling to customers to build relationships and market sales by promoting products with ads and store space.  Have the ability to provide excellent customer service to all accounts.



 



This position is responsible for selling, stocking and rotating products at customer locations on an assigned route in a safe and efficient manner.  Will work and coordinate route schedule with a Delivery Agent to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.



 



Must be able to process orders and delivery tickets using handheld computer and printer.  Will be responsible for submitting orders and processing daily paperwork as directed by Bernatello’s.  May need to perform Delivery Agent tasks as deemed necessary, and therefore will be required to pass D.O.T. requirements, although this will not be a primary function of your daily duties.



 



 



Merchandising



Maintain product in shelves, displays and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transporting product between backroom and display floor manually or with equipment provided (for example: pallet jack, dolly); utilizing hand tools; replenishing, facing and rotating product; building changing and taking down product displays; maintaining product signage and cleaning product space.



 



Manages backroom by organizing and consolidating product back-stock; identifying, monitoring and reporting back-stock inventory levels; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (for example: pallets, product, shelves); and completing necessary documentation.



 




  • Ability to read, write and speak English and the ability to understand verbal & written instructions.

  • Attention to detail and possess good customer service skills

  • Drive straight truck in varying traffic and weather conditions in a safe and legal manner.

  • Exposure to varying temperatures from outside summer temps to inside freezers at -10°F.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.

  • Must be able to work early morning hours and meet daily delivery deadlines.  Good attendance is mandatory.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license and pass Motor Vehicle Record & background check.

  • Must have basic math and computer skills to operate inventory and invoicing program.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Class B license (CDL).

  • Must have or be able to obtain a D.O.T. Medical Card.

  • Must have stable work history with sales or grocery store experience being a plus.

  • Physical requirements include, but not limited to, repetitive: sitting, walking, bending, reaching, use of upper body and hands, lifting and carrying 30 to 50 lbs.   Occasional: 50+ lbs.  Push/Pull up to 120 lbs. using pallet jack or power jack.
