About this job

The Safety Coordinator develops, administers, and implements occupational safety programs.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting
* Develop and implement safety programs
* Develop and conduct safety training
* Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety and environmental programs by all employees and subcontractors
* Coordinate inspections, investigations and safety activities with departments
* Ensure compliance with OSHA/ MSHA safety related standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associates/College Degree or verifiable experience in the HSE field

Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Preferred field of study: Occupational H&S, HSE

Work Experience: 5-7 years

  • In asset intensive manufacturing industry, prior safety experience preferred.
  • MSHA and OSHA experience (preferred)
  • DOT experience (preferred)
  • Experience in configuring, defining and implementing SOP's (preferred)

Travel Requirements: 40% (maximum of being gone 5 days at one time, that is not the normal)

Licenses/Certifications: Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Computer and Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office and Google software programs: Excel, PPT, Word, G-Drive, Knowledge of document management softwares (preferred)

Other: Sound knowledge of H&S principles, policies, procedures and regulations. Sound knowledge of business operating processes and procedures. Sound working knowledge of federal/state legislation per MSHA/OHSA. Must provide honest, objective feedback to
