We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the Minnetonka, MN office. This position maintains general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports. Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and analyses, journal entries and accounting classifications in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position. Involved in the monthly/quarterly close process. Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits.Primary Responsibilities:

Term Sheet Intake and Interpretation

Membership Change Management

Annual Rate Negotiation and Implementation review

Regulatory Implementation assistance

Audit Support/QA Review

Intersegment Financial Management


Close Meetings and Reporting

Ad Hoc Questions and Analysis Financial Review

System Support


Review Operational Teams’ systems and processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
5+ year’s general accounting, finance, or related experience working with the general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
Core understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced level of proficiency utilizing Excel
Demonstrated experience presenting recommendations to management and other team members.
Ability to successfully manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and implement solutions subject to deadlines
Possesses sound business knowledge and strong decision making skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:


Prior work history in the healthcare industry
Financial planning and analysis experience – working with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Experience utilizing PeopleSoft and Essbase
