You can wear many hats! You prepare work schedules, ensure quality marketing, coordinate merchandising, and implement foodservice and gasoline programs. You lead by example and set the pace for your team. When conflicting demands arise, you communicate diplomatically to reach a resolution. As a General Manager you will:
  • Report directly to the Division Manager
  • Provide top customer service by greeting, assisting customers, and responding to inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain 100% in-stock excellence on top selling items
  • Carefully monitor sales activities through cashier and financial data analysis
  • Research and plan company team-building events or meetings
  • Recruit, hire, and train positive, enthusiastic employees
  • Oversee the overall store condition including store and foodservice cleanliness, sanitation, and merchandising
  • Implement marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and prepare merchandise displays
  • Uphold proper inventory levels and shift audits
  • Delegate and supervise team members in maintaining all store responsibilities


To do this job well, you’ll need:
  • A High School diploma or GED; a two-year degree or beyond is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Availability to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings and perform other duties as assigned
  • 1 year restaurant management and at least 3-5 years General Management experience required
  • The ability to analyze P and L statements is a must!
