About this job

This company manages over $300 million of construction dollars on over 150 construction projects spread out across the US. Projects range from $30,000 to $30,000,000. The environment is a business office, they are not EVER going to the job site.

This company will train the right person into becoming a Disbursement Specialist by learning the construction invoice system or specifically AIA reporting on construction projects. They will learn job cost breakouts, material, subcontracting agreements, construction language, project language, lien law, and a surety bonding. Candidates will be dealing with construction contractors on a daily basis, you MUST have thick skin.

Responsibilities:

Data entry for invoicing of large dollar amounts, strong attention to detail.
Field inbound calls from subcontractors, buisiness owners, financial institutions, etc. Strong customer service is required.
Utilize outlook, word, excel, and company specific softwares to communicate with internal employees and clients.
Resolve invoicing issues with vendors, clients and customers while managing the file through construction completion.
Following compliance guidlines to make sure each project is properly escrowed.

Training Includes:

Learning to set up an escrow project.
Learning to work with a major financial institution.
Review Job Cost breakdowns for construction projects.
Learning Timberline Accounting.
Preparing disbursements to subcontractors, material person, etc.
Preparing construction reporting documents.
File preparation and maintenance.
Follow up on initial draw requests.
Reviewing monthly bank statements.

Starting Salary: $35,000. The position has potential for bonus and performance awards up to $2,000-3,000/yr

Shift is 8:30-4:30 and they will have summer hours of half day every other Friday until Labor Day, after 1 year permanent employee.

Qualifications:

BS Degree in business related field
2+ years of recent experience in a business professional setting
Work Environment:
The company dress code is business casual and the office has TV monitors, a pool table and very laid back feel. This is a professional business environment that rewards it's employees for hard work.

Candidates will be working with a group of 4 people so a culture fit is very important. They will be dealing with a customer base of blue collar people so someone with thick skin, in person and over the phone, is ideal
