This position works under the supervision of the CQM Studies Manager. Develops and conducts clinical quality studies (CQS), clinical quality improvement initiatives, (QIIs), Clinical quality improvement activities (QIAs) and retrospective focused reviews. Assist CQM staff and other departments with clinical quality studies, focused reviews, and quality improvement activities. Maintains compliance with the TRICARE Operations Manual Chapter 7, Section 4 (CQMP) requirements. Contributes to the development of the Annual Clinical Quality Management Program Plan and Annual Clinical Quality Management Report by conducting research . Ensures that rigorous scientific methodology is used in all work products. Integrates URAC and NCQA standards in clinical studies, focused reviews, and quality improvement activities. Participate on quality committees.
This is an office position located at 2222 West Dunlap - Phoenix, Arizona
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops new research initiatives and/ or clinical quality studies or activities.
Trains Clinical Quality Management staff on data abstraction activities for studies
Maintains confidentiality and non-discoverability of all activities
Collaborates with departments to identify, develop and evaluate programs which improve the delivery of clinical quality health care
Contributes to creating, reviewing, and revising of QM study plans
Contributes to the development of study policies, and procedures
Participates in regional quality studies including obtaining baseline data, conducting interventions, monitoring, re-measurement, reporting
Works with HEDIS- Like measures, and develops interventions
Conducts and completes quality improvement interventions
Assist UHC M&V staff with accreditation activities
Assist in the development of UHC M&V Patient Safety Initiatives
Refer potential recommendations from studies to Program Integrity, Case Management, Disease Management, and Potential Quality Issues to Clinical Quality
Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Unrestricted RN license in the state of Arizona
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated formal writing experience
3+ years clinical experience
1 year experience conducting research or studies
Comprehensive knowledge of research methodology, HEDIS measures, benchmarking
Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Administration or BusinessÂ
2 years Quality Management experience
CPHQ experience
